Description Job Title : AI Engineer Google Cloud Location : Chennai / Bangalore Experience Required : 3+ Years Notice Period : Immediate joiner or currently serving notice (? 60 days) Compensation : Open / Competitive (Based on experience) About The Role We are seeking a skilled AI Engineer with hands-on experience in building and deploying Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role involves designing scalable, production-ready AI applications using Vertex AI and Gemini models for enterprise-level use cases. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and client stakeholders to deliver AI-powered solutions such as conversational agents, document intelligence systems, and intelligent search platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy GenAI and LLM-based applications on Google Cloud. Build conversational AI, enterprise search, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions using Vertex AI. Implement Document AI pipelines for extracting structured data from unstructured documents. Develop semantic retrieval systems using Vertex AI Embeddings and Vector Search. Integrate grounding using Google Search and enterprise data sources to improve model accuracy. Apply best practices for prompt engineering, function calling, and multi-modal AI workflows. Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into AI solutions. Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and production-ready. Document architectures, workflows, and technical implementations clearly. Technical Skills Required (Hands-on experience in at least 68 of the following) Vertex AI Agent Builder (conversational AI and enterprise search) Gemini models (Pro, Flash, Ultra) via Vertex AI APIs Vertex AI Search & Conversation for RAG implementations Document AI for intelligent document processing Vertex AI Embeddings & Vector Search Grounding with Google Search and enterprise data sources LangChain and Vertex AI SDK (Python) Prompt engineering, function calling, and multi-modal AI patterns Experience & Qualifications 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Google Cloud AI/ML services Successfully delivered 2+ production AI projects (e.g., chatbots, document intelligence, enterprise search) Strong communication skills for client-facing discussions and technical documentation Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams Nice To Have Experience deploying AI solutions in regulated or enterprise environments Understanding of MLOps, monitoring, and AI governance Exposure to scalable cloud architectures on GCP (ref:hirist.tech)
