About The Role

The Engineer, Artificial Intelligence at Mitchell Martin Inc. plays a pivotal role in supporting the development, deployment, and optimization of advanced AI solutions. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about cutting-edge AI technologies, including Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Generative AI, and Large Language Models. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams comprising data scientists, ML engineers, and product managers to translate complex business requirements into scalable, efficient AI systems. The role involves working on innovative projects that leverage emerging technologies to solve real-world problems, enhance user experiences, and drive strategic business outcomes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related fields. A bachelor’s degree is preferred; however, candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent combined with over four years of relevant experience in AI/ML model development and deployment will also be considered. Demonstrated proficiency in machine learning frameworks, programming languages such as Python, and experience working on cloud platforms are essential. The candidate should exhibit a strong aptitude for learning new technologies, understanding ethical considerations in AI, and applying best practices related to data privacy, security, and bias mitigation. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

The Engineer, Artificial Intelligence will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to supporting the execution of machine learning, NLP, and large language model (LLM) deliverables aligned with organizational AI strategies. Key responsibilities include developing custom ML, Generative AI, NLP, and LLM models for both batch and stream processing pipelines, which encompass data ingestion, preprocessing modules, search and retrieval systems, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and NLP/LLM model development. The role requires close collaboration with data scientists, ML engineers, and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of AI models into production environments. Staying current with emerging AI/ML technologies and recommending innovative approaches is vital. Additionally, the engineer will apply best practices concerning data privacy, security, and bias reduction to ensure responsible AI deployment.
