Role Overview

Tech Rational is looking for highly intelligent, tech-savvy AI Engineers who can leverage modern AI tools to think faster, build smarter, and solve complex problems efficiently.

This role is for engineers who use their minds more than their hands — professionals who know how to use AI to design systems, generate code, automate workflows, and accelerate product development.

You will work on building AI-powered products, internal tools, and automation systems using reasoning, architecture, and AI-assisted development rather than relying on manual coding alone.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-driven products, tools, and automation systems
• Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex to generate, refactor, debug, review, and optimize code
• Build intelligent automation workflows using n8n or similar automation platforms
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on ideas using AI-assisted development
• Integrate AI solutions into web applications, backend systems, and internal platforms
• Identify opportunities where AI can reduce manual effort and improve efficiency
• Collaborate with product, business, and engineering teams to translate ideas into scalable solutions
• Work with APIs, third-party integrations, databases, and existing software systems
• Continuously explore and adopt new AI tools, models, frameworks, and techniques

Required Skills & Mindset

• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Comfortable using AI tools for coding, system design, debugging, research, and reasoning
• Strong hands-on experience with Claude Code and OpenAI Codex for AI-assisted software development
• Ability to write effective prompts, provide structured context, and guide AI agents to produce reliable results
• Ability to review, validate, debug, and improve AI-generated code
• Ability to break complex problems into clear, structured workflows
• Fast learner with curiosity, experimentation, and an ownership mindset
• Ability to think in terms of systems, automation, and processes — not just code
• Ability to independently research, evaluate, and implement new technologies

Programming & Technical Experience

• Strong experience with React.js, Node.js APIs development and JavaScript / TypeScript
• Experience with Python or similar programming languages
• Hands-on experience with PHP frameworks and platforms such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, and WordPress etc
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as n8n or similar platforms
• Practical experience using Claude Code and OpenAI Codex for coding, debugging, refactoring, codebase understanding, and development automation
• Solid understanding of APIs, integrations, databases, and system workflows
• Working knowledge of Git and version control best practices
• Familiarity with evaluating, prompting, integrating, and orchestrating AI / LLM tools
• Ability to understand and work with existing codebases across different technologies

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:

• Information Technology
• Computer Science
• Engineering
• AI / Data Science
• Or equivalent practical experience
