The Assistant General Manager (GM) of Procurement will play a pivotal role in leading and optimizing the company's procurement functions. This strategic leadership position requires an experienced professional who can drive significant value through effective sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management.   • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive procurement strategies and policies that support the company's overall business objectives and growth plans.
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement specialists, fostering a high-performance culture, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the entire vendor management lifecycle, including vendor identification, qualification, selection, negotiation of contracts, and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Drive aggressive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, value analysis, and long-term agreements while maintaining quality standards.
  • Manage and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, economic, and operational risks, to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders across various departments (e.g., Operations, Finance, R&D).
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Implement and optimize procurement processes and systems, leveraging technology (e.g., ERP, e-procurement platforms) to enhance efficiency and transparency.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on procurement performance, savings achieved, market trends, and supplier performance to senior management.
  • Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new suppliers, technologies, and opportunities for innovation and cost savings.
  • Negotiate complex contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements for the company.
  • Oversee inventory management strategies in collaboration with supply chain and operations teams to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
