Job Description Location : Mumbai Experience Required : 2 to 5 Years (Mid-Level) Employment Type : Full-time Company : Aertrip About The Role We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in PHP development, a solid understanding of modern frameworks, database management, and web technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performing applications. Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain web applications using Core PHP and PHP frameworks. Build and optimize backend logic, APIs, and database structures. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following OOP and MVC architecture. Integrate internal and third-party APIs and resolve technical issues. Optimize database queries and improve overall application performance. Collaborate with the front-end team to integrate UI/UX components with backend logic. Manage code versions using Git and follow collaborative development practices. Implement and uphold security best practices (SQL injection, XSS, CSRF protection, etc.). Perform debugging, testing, and deployment of new features. Participate in code reviews and suggest improvements to development workflows. Work closely with the DevOps/Cloud team for deployments (AWS/Azure, if applicable). Required Skills & Qualifications Core Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of PHP 7/8 and Core PHP Experience with at least one framework : Laravel / Yii2 / CodeIgniter / Symfony / Zend Strong expertise in MySQL/SQL, database design, and query optimization Solid understanding of OOP concepts and MVC architecture Experience with RESTful API development & integration Familiarity with version control tools (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket) Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap (Optional but preferred) Experience with modern JS frameworks : React / Vue / Angular Experience using debugging tools and performance monitoring Understanding of caching mechanisms : Redis, Memcached, OPcache Knowledge of unit testing tools like PHPUnit Awareness of security best practices in web applications Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) is an added advantage Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset Ability to work both independently and in a team Excellent communication and documentation skills Attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership Education Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred) (ref:hirist.tech)
