Job Description
We are looking for an AEO / GEO Specialist who understands how AI search works—not just Google rankings.
This is NOT a SEO role. Applicants whose experience is limited to keyword rankings, backlinks, and conventional SEO should not apply. If you have worked on LLM citation and has case studies apply.
Job Role:
This role is responsible for planning and executing strategies that improve a client's visibility in AI-powered search engines and LLMs. You will research how AI platforms discover, interpret, trust, and cite websites, then implement strategies that increase brand authority and AI citations.
You will work closely with our content, technical, and strategy teams to build AI-first optimization frameworks for clients across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategies.
Improve client visibility across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and other AI search platforms.
Build topical authority and entity authority using structured content strategies.
Optimize websites using Schema.org structured data, semantic markup, internal linking, and AI-friendly information architecture.
Research AI search behavior and identify opportunities to increase AI citations and recommendations.
Monitor AI search visibility, citation frequency, and brand mentions across LLMs.
Create AI-first content strategies, knowledge hubs, FAQs, comparison pages, and authority content.
Conduct technical audits focused on AI discoverability and LLM readability.
Stay current with changes in AI search algorithms, retrieval systems, and emerging best practices.
Work with writers and developers to implement AI optimization recommendations.
Document repeatable AEO/GEO processes and contribute to internal frameworks.
Required Qualifications
Proven hands-on experience in Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) or Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
Strong understanding of how LLMs retrieve, rank, synthesize, and cite information.
Experience optimizing websites for AI search platforms rather than only traditional search engines.
Knowledge of structured data (Schema.org), semantic SEO, entity optimization, knowledge graphs, and topical authority.
Experience creating AI-first content strategies that improve AI citations.
Familiarity with AI search monitoring and optimization tools.
Strong analytical skills with experience measuring AI search visibility and citation performance.
Excellent research, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly in the rapidly evolving AI search landscape.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, or similar AI platforms.
Experience using tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and AI visibility platforms.
Understanding of vector search, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), knowledge graphs, and semantic search.
Experience with technical SEO as it relates to AI search optimization.
SaaS or B2B marketing experience is a plus.
