AEM Developer

We are seeking an experienced AEM resource to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale digital experiences using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on expertise in AEM development, Java technologies, and Adobe Experience Cloud solutions while providing technical leadership to development teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Lead AEM development activities across components, templates, workflows, services, servlets, Sling Models, schedulers, event handlers, and integrations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to AEM developers and front-end development teams.
• Review business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Own technical design, estimation, implementation strategy, code quality, and delivery planning.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce AEM, Java, security, and performance best practices.

AEM Development

• Design and develop reusable, scalable AEM components using HTL (Sightly), Sling Models, OSGi Services, and AEM Core Components.
• Develop and maintain custom workflows, servlets, schedulers, filters, event listeners, and OSGi services.
• Support AEM Sites, DAM, editable templates, policies, client libraries, content fragments, experience fragments, and authoring governance.
• Manage MSM (Multi-Site Manager), live copies, multilingual content structures, and content rollout processes.

Integrations & Performance

• Integrate AEM with external systems including Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Launch, CRM platforms, REST APIs, search platforms, and translation connectors.
• Configure and optimize dispatcher rules, caching strategies, CDN behavior, redirects, vanity URLs, and overall site performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across AEM Author, Publish, Dispatcher, CDN, workflows, replication, indexing, and content delivery layers.

Delivery & Operations

• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, UX teams, QA teams, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, Cloud Manager deployments, release management, environment setup, and monitoring activities.
• Participate in UAT, production deployments, go-live support, rollback planning, and post-production hypercare.
• Establish development standards, reusable frameworks, documentation, technical governance, and best practices.
• Ensure solutions are secure, maintainable, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

Experience Required

• 7+ years of overall software development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development experience.
• 2+ years of experience as a Lead Developer or Technical Lead.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale websites, portals, or digital experience platforms.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Adobe certifications are highly preferred.
