Summary: We have a great opportunity for a seasoned HR professional to join our team as Teammate Relations Advisor. This position would be a great fit for a candidate with background as an HR Generalist who is looking to expand and advance their career in Employee Relations function of HR.

The Teammate Relations Advisor owns the relationship with business leaders as a consultant for matters related to remedial performance management, disciplinary action, and termination decisions. They guide leaders through these processes and act as the liaison between the Workplace Investigators and Business Leaders with relation to investigation results and recommendations. The Teammate Relations Advisor is the partner to senior and executive leaders for all Teammate Relations issues and they guide decisions based on a skilled assessment of risk and with teammate engagement and the company values in mind.

Responsibilities

  • Advises business leaders related to people policy and compliance interpretation as well as guides decision-making related to teammate action based on knowledge and interpretation of state and federal employment regulations.
  • Is responsible for the recommendations to leaders regarding performance remediation and performance-based termination, which includes coaching leaders on soft-skills related to difficult conversations and helping them prepare for sensitive conversations with teammates with risk reduction and teammate engagement in mind.
  • Is responsible for assuring business leaders have line of sight into Workplace Investigation activities that pertain to them, leveraging their relationships to support investigation results and recommendations and guide leaders to best case cooperative outcomes.
  • Identifies issues that require investigation and connects complainants and leaders to the appropriate Workplace Investigator or the Workplace Investigation Team.
  • Leads the interactive process when a workplace accommodation is requested, supporting both leaders and teammates through the process utilizing their skills and expertise to navigate these sensitive situations to a positive resolution.
  • Builds relationships with Business Leaders and works to understand the operational impact of decisions related to performance and investigations.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to stakeholders by providing timely responses, communicating effectively, and conducting prompt investigations.
  • Drives compliance and risk mitigation by identifying the need for, developing, and presenting content and data to business leaders and HR Directors/Business Partners.
  • Uses appropriate resources and expertise to assure the Company’s best interest is met by maintaining relationships with legal, compliance, communications, and other relevant functions.
  • Timely and accurately records all information pertaining to cases in the system of record.

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills including advanced communication skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and use independent judgment.
  • Organization, time management, project management and presentation skills.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and track record of high quality, accurate work under significant pressures.
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
  • Communicate and interact with leaders, including executives, across the organization as well as mentor, coach and guide them on teammate relations related issues.
  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year College or University and 5-7 years of progressive human resources experience in a mid to large sized company; or an equitable combination of education and progressive experience. Experience within employee relations preferred.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Case management tracking software experience preferred.
  • SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Oracle experience a plus.
