Accounts Head

Position: Accounts Head (CA)

Location: Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Experience Required: 10+ Years

Report to: Finance Controller

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute the finance and accounts function across the organization.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, and variance analysis.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, and treasury operations.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, tax, GST, TDS, and corporate laws.
• Lead internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Develop and strengthen financial controls, accounting policies, and SOPs.
• Monitor inventory accounting, cost controls, and profitability across retail operations.
• Partner with business leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, and payroll accounting.
• Ensure compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act, and applicable financial reporting standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team to build a high-performance culture.
• Drive process improvements and finance automation initiatives through ERP systems.

Requirements:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts.
• Proven experience as Accounts Head, Accounts Manager, or a similar leadership role.
• Experience in FMCG and/or Retail industry is preferred. Experience in luxury retail, jewelry, or consumer-facing businesses will be an added advantage.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliance, audits, and treasury management.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-location business environment.
