Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper with experience in Sage 50 to manage accounting tasks for UK-based clients. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of bookkeeping, financial records management, and UK accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records for UK clients.
  • Manage bookkeeping tasks using Sage 50 accounting software.
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain financial reports.
  • Prepare VAT returns and assist with month-end and year-end closing.
  • Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and clients for financial documentation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Hands-on experience with Sage 50 accounting software.
  • Knowledge of UK accounting standards and VAT processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills in English.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience handling UK clients.
  • Knowledge of Excel and accounting tools.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
