Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, tracking payables and receivables, assisting with payroll, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role also involves preparing basic financial reports, monitoring inventory-related financial data, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore, requiring regular collaboration with store management and other team members to support efficient retail operations.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in general accounting, including bookkeeping, ledger management, and account reconciliation.
  • Experience with invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and cash handling in a retail or similar environment.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements, reports, and basic budgets.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Tally, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel).
  • Knowledge of relevant tax regulations, compliance requirements, and standard accounting practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and a high level of accuracy in financial data entry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with sales, operations, and management teams.
  • Ability to work on-site full time in Coimbatore and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; relevant certifications are an advantage.
