Role Description The Accountant role at S&R Trucking is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurgaon. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, monitoring budgets, supporting payroll calculations, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies. The role also involves analyzing financial data for reporting, assisting with audits, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and maintaining accurate, up-to-date records. The Accountant will contribute to improving financial processes and providing timely insights to support business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including bookkeeping, general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and reconciliation.
  • Candidates should possess financial analysis and reporting skills, such as budgeting, variance analysis, cost tracking, and data interpretation for decision-making.
  • Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and tools, including spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), ERP systems, and digital record-keeping platforms.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements applicable to transportation or logistics businesses.
  • Candidates should possess strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities accurately.
  • Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with operations, management, vendors, and auditors.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications (such as CA, CPA, or equivalent) are an asset.
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or a related industry, and familiarity with intermodal operations, is an advantage.
