Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with 6+ years of hands-on experience in accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and taxation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting audits and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & P2P Excellence
- End-to-End P2P Oversight Demonstrate deep knowledge of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle; provide hands-on guidance at a transactional level within Oracle Cloud to help service providers improve operational efficiency.
- Shared Service Coordination Act as the primary point of coordination with the Global Shared Service (MGSS) center for AP, Treasury, and other month-end closing processes on interim basis.
- Core Accounting Manage end-to-end processes including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), and interim bank reconciliations.
- Fixed Asset Management Maintain the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and manage depreciation schedules on an interim basis.
- Month-End Closure & Reporting
- Reporting Cycle Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Close Activities Execute all accounting close deliverables, including complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analytics.
- MIS & Analysis Prepare comprehensive MIS reports and financial analysis to provide actionable insights for management review for GTO and other services.
- Timeline Management Ensure the strictly disciplined and timely closure of books and financial reporting.
- Statutory Compliance & Audit
- Taxation Handle the end-to-end execution of statutory requirements, including GST, TDS, and Income Tax filings and reconciliations.
- Audit Coordination Serve as the lead coordinator for internal and external auditors, ensuring all schedules are provided on time and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Account Integrity Perform regular account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring a "clean" trial balance.
- Treasury & Budgeting Support
- Cash Flow Management Monitor daily cash flow positions and support treasury-related activities.
- Budgeting Support the annual budgeting process and provide inputs for periodic forecasting activities.
- Internal Controls Ensure all financial activities strictly adhere to company policies and global accounting standards.
- Technical Mastery Advanced knowledge of Oracle Cloud and MS Excel (for financial modeling and analysis).
- Process Improvement Ability to identify bottlenecks in the P2P cycle and guide service providers toward automation and efficiency.
- Stakeholder Management Strong communication skills to liaise effectively between MGSS, local teams, and external auditors.
- Analytical Mindset High level of accuracy in performing account analytics and resolving complex reconciliation issues.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas)
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally or similar)
- Knowledge of GST filings, TDS returns, and compliance frameworks
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards
- Chartered Accountant (CA) 3+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Non-CA (MBA/M.Com) 6+ years of extensive experience in financial preparations.
- ERP Expertise Mandatory hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud at a transactional level.
- Technical Background Proven experience in AP, GL, payroll accounting, and P2P processes.
- Shared Services Prior experience working with or within a Shared Service Center environment is highly preferred.
