Accountant (AP)

About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate leader to help manage accounting/ book keeping tasks that will help us scale the business.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately record short-term liabilities and payables in the General Ledger (GL) in a timely manner
• Perform periodic vendor payment reconciliations and proactively resolve discrepancies
• Perform ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records
• Carry out periodic bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve variances on a timely basis
• Maintain clean and audit-ready books of accounts on the AP side
• Prepare, maintain, and circulate accurate MIS reports for management review on a periodic basis
• Ensure MIS data aligns with GL entries and reconciled financials
• Compile AP aging reports, payment schedules, and vendor-wise liability summaries

What are we looking for?

• Minimum B.Com., preferably with at least 3 years of experience as a book keeper/ accountant in a firm/ worked in a CA firm
• Familiar with Zoho
• Customer Obsessed: Driven to ensure we meet every customer commitment
• Ownership: Focused on long-term thinking and taking responsibility to deliver on behalf of our customers. They never say ‘It’s not my job’.
• Attention to Detail: This is specifically important for managing transactions/ payments where 100% accuracy is required
