Texas Breweries and Beverages is a wholly owned subsidiary of a USA company that has established a State-of-the -Art manufacturing facility at Kashipur, Uttarakhand for producing Low Calorie and Low Carb Hard Seltzer Beer with fruit flavors and Premium Artesian Water. Role Description
Accountant preferably from Indian alcohol (beer/liquor) industry who can manage financial records, ensures strict compliance with excise duties, GST, and TDS, RBI filings and performs inventory/warehouse audits. Responsibilities include managing accounts payable/receivable, preparing financial statements (balance sheets, P&L), and conducting internal audits for manufacturing or distribution units.
Key Responsibilities in the Indian Beer Industry:
- Tax & Compliance: Managing GST, VAT, and Excise duty compliance, including filing returns and reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Preparing, analyzing, and maintaining accurate, timely financial statements and General Ledger management.
Internal Audit: Conducting audits of warehouses, branches, and distribution networks across India.
- Inventory & Costing: Managing inventory valuation and cost accounting for production.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Reconciling vendor payments and tracking accounts, particularly with distributors and retail partners.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Supporting management with cash flow projections and budget monitoring.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a Certified Professional (CA, CMA, CS).
- Experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience, ideally in the manufacturing or FMCG (alcohol/liquor) sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Tally, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Direct/Indirect Taxes, and local state excise regulations
CTC: Rs. 25,000 - 35,000 + Bonus
