Accountant

Description

Ascent Resources is seeking an experienced Accountant. This position is located in Oklahoma City, OK and will report to the Manager – Accounts Payable. The specific job title will be commensurate with experience.

This position is responsible for correct and timely coding of accounting invoices.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Review and analyze invoices to determine use of appropriate GL accounts
• Communicate with vendor AR departments in order to facilitate effective workflows and accurate invoicing
• Conduct account research and resolution
• Review re-class entries
• Assist in training and mentoring new staff
• Other duties assigned as needed

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
• 10-key proficient
• Strong Outlook and Excel skills
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with great attention to detail
• Team builder, encourager, and collaborator
• Overall flexibility to accomplish departmental goals
• Willing and able to work overtime if needed
  
  

Education & Work Experience Required

Minimum Requirements:

• In lieu of degree, 5 years of AP experience
• Ambition to grow within the department

• Bachelor’s degree
