Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and analysing financial statements, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- At least 3-6 years of experience in preparation of financial statements
- Proven experience in financial reporting as per IFRS
- Commercial Accounting - Good knowledge of accounting and strong knowledge of IFRS.
- IT skills: Confident handling of MS Office, especially Excel; Knowledge of ERP systems is desirable.
- ERP- SAP, BPC, CCH
- Personal skills: Analytical thinking, high affinity for numbers, independent way of working and ability to work in a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare annual financial statements of Group subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and adherence to IFRS or applicable GAAP,
- Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation, working closely with auditors and external consultants
- Liaise with respective business units for queries, seeking information or details relevant for preparation of financial statements and highlight any deviations observed while reviewing account balances,
- Evaluate and review audit queries, discuss with respective business units and provide resolution,
- Assist with preparation, filing and submission of XBRL tagged accounts with Companies House, HMRC or other regulatory bodies
- Analyse and review financial data to ensure accurate month end intergroup balances,
- Identify variances in intergroup balances and raise queries with respective business units and provide resolution,
- Prepare and review documentation for intergroup funding, loans and borrowings,
- Assist in developing month end or year-end reports to analyse financial data reflects true position of the company,
- Maintain robust internal controls and participate in the development and improvement of internal financial reporting processes and tools,
- Ad-hoc evaluations: Preparation of specific ad-hoc evaluations to support management in decision-making processes,
- Communication and cooperation: Contact person for domestic and foreign companies as well as for the shareholder in all relevant accounting issues.
