Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant (1–3 years experience) to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and statutory compliance. The role requires strong fundamentals in accounting, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounting & Bookkeeping
• Maintain accurate books of accounts in accounting systems (Zoho / Tally / ERP).
• Record daily transactions including invoices, expenses, reimbursements, and journals.
• Perform bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations on a regular basis.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable
• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Track receivables, follow up on outstanding dues, and maintain aging reports.
• Reconcile vendor and customer statements.
• Payroll & Employee Expenses
• Assist in payroll processing and salary accounting.
• Verify and process employee expense claims and reimbursements.
• Maintain payroll-related records and statutory deductions.
• Statutory & Compliance Support
• Assist in compliance with statutory requirements such as:
• GST / TDS (India) or VAT (UAE), as applicable
• PF, ESIC, Professional Tax (India)
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist in audit preparation and documentation.
• Financial Reporting & MIS
• Prepare basic MIS reports, expense analysis, and variance reports.
• Support senior finance team in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for financial transactions.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com preferred).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and journal entries.
• Working knowledge of accounting software (Zoho Books, Tally, or similar).
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred).
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
  
  

Good-to-Have

• Exposure to GST/TDS or VAT compliance.
• Experience in startups, IT services, or tech companies.
• CA-Inter / CMA-Inter (pursuing or cleared) is a plus.
