Accounts Manager JD

Key Responsibilities

1. Retail Finance & Reconciliation

  • Supervise daily reconciliation of cash, credit card, and UPI collections across all retail outlets.
  • Ensure POS and ERP alignment and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Monitor settlement timelines from banks and payment gateways.
  • Implement internal controls to prevent revenue leakage.

2. Inventory & Stock Accounting

  • Oversee stock accounting, valuation, and movement tracking.
  • Coordinate periodic physical stock audits.
  • Investigate and minimize shrinkage or stock variances.
  • Ensure accurate accounting of interstate stock transfers

3. GST & Statutory Compliance

  • Manage GST filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and ITC reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance for interstate transfers and procurement ITC claims.
  • Oversee timely deduction and remittance of TDS and WCT.
  • Ensure PF, ESI, and Tamil Nadu Labour Welfare Fund remittances.
  • Support statutory and internal audits.

4. Vendor & Payables Management

  • Manage accounts payable for multiple vendors and subcontractors.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
  • Maintain vendor ledger reconciliations.
  • Optimize working capital through structured payment planning.

5. Project Accounting & Cost Control

  • Maintain site-wise Profit & Loss statements.
  • Monitor Budget vs. Actual for material and labour costs.
  • Verify Measurement Books (MB) and process RA bills.
  • Ensure statutory deductions on subcontractor payments.

6. MIS & Financial Reporting

  • Prepare weekly plant-wise profitability reports.
  • Generate monthly financial MIS for management review.
  • Analyze cost variances and provide actionable insights.
  • Track working capital and fund flow position.

7. Asset Management

  • Maintain fixed asset register.
  • Track capitalization and depreciation of heavy machinery.
  • Monitor maintenance costs and conduct periodic asset verification.

Candidate Profile

Educational Qualification

  • B.Com / M.Com (Mandatory)
  • CA Inter / CMA Inter (Preferred)

Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in retail, construction, or manufacturing accounting.
  • Experience managing multi-location accounts.
  • Strong exposure to GST compliance and project costing.

Technical Skills

  • ERP systems (SAP / Tally / Oracle or equivalent)
  • Advanced MS Excel
  • GST portal handling
  • Inventory accounting & reconciliation
  • Project costing & MIS reporting
