Job Description
The Academic Secretary to the Principal provides administrative and academic coordination support to the Principal’s Office. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to manage academic communication and administrative operations efficiently.
The Academic Secretary serves as a key liaison between the Principal, staff team, students, parents, and external stakeholders while ensuring smooth execution of administrative functions.
We value a candidate who will:
- provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Principal.
- manage the Principal’s calendar, appointments, meetings, and official correspondence.
- prepare agendas, reports, presentations, circulars, and minute meetings
- screen calls, emails, and visitors professionally and efficiently.
- maintain confidential files, records, and documentation for the Principal’s Office.
- ensure timely communication and follow-up on action items from meetings and discussions.
- arrange logistics for conferences, workshops, and official visits.
- ensure efficient functioning and handle sensitive matters with discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Education, Business Management, or related field from a recognized institute.
- 4–8 years of experience in academic administration, executive assistance, or secretarial roles.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, IT tools and academic ERP systems.
