Job Description
Job Purpose
The role is responsible for assessing credit proposals of all Corporate and Institutional lending businesses of ABFL and getting them approved by the ZCM. The role is also responsible for ensuring proper documentation of the proposals and effectively monitoring the client & collateral creditworthiness from the pre sanction to post disbursement phase while ensuring adherence to legal & documentation norms & policies.

The Corporate & Institutional Group caters to the short term and long term funding needs of the entire spectrum of business segment like large corporates, mid size business,small and medium ( ) enterprises and Corporate supply chains in the country. The is engaged in funding short term and long term needs via a suite of customized short and long tenured products. The Lending portfolio would include products like Working capital funding, Supply chain financing, Term loans, LC discounting and Bill discounting, Loan against Property/ assets, etc
The Credit Manager Is Responsible For The Following

KRA1 To prepare documentation highlighting the viability of credit lending proposals based on institutionalized processes and dynamic market information ? To take up decision proposals within delegated authority
KRA3 To regularly provide inputs for new products, processes & credit lending norms ? To provide inputs and suggest amendments for various lending norms like Risk Matrix, Interest Rate Policy, Credit Authorization Matrix, Risk Universe, Newer Product Policy, Processses to be adopted keeping the current regulatory and compliance environment

The Credit Manager Is Responsible For The Following
- Preparing new credit proposals / existing credit exposures which have a high degree of complexity and data volume. To get the credit proposals logged in with ZCM and highlighting the industry, business, financial, management and facility structure risk contained in the credit proposal. The role needs to bring out the collateral and other credit risk mitigation to aid decision / facilitate the approving authority to take decision on the credit proposal.
- Improve the quality of credit evaluation to ensure the portfolio built is value accretive to all the stake holders of the company
- Protect from potential loss on the credit portfolio by detecting early warning signals of deteriorating risks and advising these to the Relationship Managers and senior management.
- Contribute to the growth of business and work to high levels of customer service standards by ensuring that proposals under review are addressed within a committed timeframe without compromising on quality of the asses nt.
- Inculcating a risk culture across the corporate finance group (i.e.) the risk team, credit team and the sales team;
- Provide all the necessary assistance to the business and risk heads to ensure audit of the portfolio is completed to the satisfaction of the auditors and include the learning and recommendations from the audit into the credit / risk appraisal processes;
- Provide information and necessary assistance to the ZCM for review of the portfolio
- Help in preparation of status of the portfolio to the Risk Management Committee for their review and guidance;
- Assist in the budget process in terms of the estimating the NPA provisions and ensuring the provisions are made on monthly basis by constantly reviewing the exposure as to recoverability.

- Following the developed formats and norms for approval, ensure their ratification within the team and from approval authorities in the system and institutionalize the prescribed process
- To ensure revert back to the sales teams with analysis of the broad parameters for considering or not considering the given proposal
- To engage with the Channel partners, DSAs and other distributors in understanding the proposals submitted and extracting the relevant supporting information
- To suggest measures for ensuring workability of the loan proposals to the RMs, keeping risk in check like suggesting risk mitigation for the identified risks
- To continuously update the sales teams on the broad parameters for validating lending proposals, provide regular trainings to RMs for the same
KRA3 To regularly provide inputs for new products, processes & credit lending norms ? To provide inputs and suggest amendments for various lending norms like Risk Matrix, Interest Rate Policy, Credit Authorization Matrix, Risk Universe, Newer Product Policy, Processses to be adopted keeping the current regulatory and compliance environment
- To undertake improvements in approval notes and other processes to meet dynamic market environment and needs of new customer segments
- To devise various analytical tools to measure the portfolio health from various angles and highlight ‘early warning’ signals
- To review the covenants of loan proposals at frequent intervals and undertake action for serious deviations
- To review reports and analytics on repayment schedules, covenant monitoring, modification in terms and loan sanction, etc
- Protect from potential loss on the credit portfolio by detecting early warning signals of deteriorating risks and advising these to the Relationship Managers and senior management.
- To report sales vs. budget variations & review trends and provide inputs for various presentations
