Position: WordPress Backend Developer Location: Ahmedabad (Onsite) Experience: 4+ Years Employment Type: Full-time About the Role: We are seeking a skilled WordPress Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining high-performance WordPress websites and plugins. You?ll collaborate closely with the front-end and design teams to deliver seamless, secure, and scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins. Optimize website performance, scalability, and security. Integrate third-party APIs and build custom REST APIs as required. Handle database management, migrations, and optimization (MySQL). Troubleshoot and debug backend issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, front-end developers, and project managers. Maintain clean, reusable, and well-documented code. Stay updated with the latest WordPress and PHP trends and best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS . Deep understanding of WordPress core, themes, and plugin architecture . Experience with REST API integration and custom post types . Familiarity with Git or other version control systems. Understanding of security best practices in WordPress development. Experience with WooCommerce or similar plugins is a plus. Good problem-solving and debugging skills. Good to Have: Experience with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, etc.). Knowledge of hosting environments, server configurations, and deployment tools.
