Job Title: Buyer - Raw Material (Steel) Company Name: Kia India Job Description: As a Buyer at Kia India, you will play a crucial role in the procurement process, ensuring that the company has the necessary materials and components to maintain efficient production and meet customer demands. You will be responsible for sourcing steel commodities, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management and procurement strategies, coupled with excellent analytical skills. Responsibilities: - Knowledge Flat Steel [Autmotive] commodity & Purchasing - Connection /networking with Steel Mill manufacturers , Steel processing centre - Monitor inventory levels and manage procurement processes to ensure timely delivery of supplies. - Collaborate with various departments, including production, quality control, and finance, to align purchasing strategies with company goals. - Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions. - Cost Reduction / VAVE - Able to work as Cross Functional Team - Develop long-term relationships with key suppliers to enhance collaboration and innovation. Skills Required: - Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Proficient in data analysis and inventory management. - Knowledge of statistical and forecasting techniques. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Tools Required: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). - Experience with procurement software and inventory management systems. - Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus. - Basic understanding of data analytics tools and techniques.
